Malden Overcomes Day- A Beautiful Day
MOA held it’s annual Malden Overcomes Day to thank the communities and people of Malden for their ongoing and unrelenting support. Lincoln Commons did a great job hosting this wonderfully successful day.
Many people from Malden and surrounding communities came out to enjoy the festivities. From bouncy houses & slides, to splash pads & water slides, to corn hole, hot dogs, pizza and so much more. In addition to all the fun, several sponsors came to offer helpful and important information regarding the disease of addiction.
In attendance at the event were Malden Mayor Gary Christenson, Ward 7 Councilor Neal Anderson, MOA President Paul Hammersly to name a few. They each spoke a few words about the ongoing work the city, in partnership with MOA, continue to do to help bring awareness to the disease of addiction.
The day started to wrap up with some friendly competition. The sack races and water balloon tosses were a great hit, although the throwing of the extra water balloons at each other was just as fun. Overall a great time was had by all.
